This week's Flashback harkens back to the Blackhawks/Canucks series in the first round of the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs. In which Canucks winger Alex Burrows intercepted a clearing attempt, walked into the high slot untouched and sniped Corey Crawford blocker side, top shelf to take game 7 in OT by a score of 2-1.
It's been an interesting season. Some teams that were expected to do well didn't, others that weren't expected to do well did. Here's some milestones that were achieved in the last weekend of the 2015-2016 regular season:
Patrick Kane's career year has lead the Chicago Blackhawks back to the playoffs and himself to the TOTY. Kane is not the only Blackhawk represented as Artemi Panarin finds himself on this esteemed list. Teammates Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn were also named to the Offensive TOTY as they attempt to lead the Dallas Stars to a Central Division and Western Conference crown. Ottawa Senators superstar Erik Karlsson has blown away his counterparts with his offensive production this season and has earned his place on the roster.
